Every gift basketgift is hand picked and our baskets are handwoven, so your gift is personal, not commercial. Our goal is to make the purchasing experience easy, fun, and fast. We promise to help you as well. If you need help finding or building a gift basket for raffles, we are more the happy to help. Raffle gift baskets are common and a favorite for auctions and events. Our gift baskets are not like the typical cheap gift baskets, so they sell very well. Call us if you need help.
Laurie Brown is the founder and owner of Aunt Laurie’s, where she oversees all aspects of the business and manages the working relationship with the South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department in Beaufort, where the gift baskets are hand crafted and assembled.
Having spent nearly 30 years in a corporate leadership and management role at General Motors and the Volkswagen Group of America in Detroit, Laurie moved to South Carolina in 2014 and was inspired to launch Aunt Laurie’s to fulfill her longstanding passion for helping individuals with special needs.
Additionally, Laurie is a big dog lover and longtime supporter of the Leader Dogs for the Blind organization. She also has a goal to donate a portion of Aunt Laurie’s profits to the organization. She and her golden retriever, Trapper, are certified through Therapy Dogs International and regularly visit nursing homes, schools and hospitals to comfort the lonely, ill and disabled.
A graduate of Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan, Laurie also holds a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management. She and her husband, Bob, live in Bluffton and own Sunburst Homes, Inc., a residential redevelopment company.
